WOODBRIDGE INVITATIONAL 9/18 INFORMATION: Woodbridge is all new this year with the races being held at Estancia High School in Costa Mesa. This is our only evening invitational with the bus leaving at 2:30pm and returning around midnight. The course is very fast and the race tends to have a party atmosphere. The course will resemble pretty much the Woodbridge course of past invitationals. It will be flat, fast, 95% on grass (a little thicker grass than what we had in the park and the Woodbridge campus in the past), very visible (one can see practically the entire race with very little movement) and it will finish inside the beautiful stadium at Estancia. Some of the best teams in the country will be here for the race. Here are the race times (We are considered DI for this Meet) and directions to the NEW LOCATION:

MANDATORY SATURDAY PRACTICE: We will have a mandatory Saturday practice September 25th. We will be practicing on one of our most important courses, Bonelli Park. We will be meeting at 7:00am at the Park and Ride outside of Bonelli. 57 Fwy. Exit Via Verde and go right. Parking is on the right. We should be done with practice by 8:30am
SIERRA LEAGUE MEET #1:
Tuesday September 28th - Bonelli Park. There will be bus transportation. Make sure you remember your shoes, uniforms, etc.
PARENTS: There is a $10 parking fee or you can park at the Park & Ride and walk down (1.1 miles).

NEEDED - LEAGUE MEET JUDGES: We are in need of two adults to be judgesat the League Meets. It could be a parent, relative, sibling or alumnus. The job entails standing at the finish line and sorting out any ties that may occur. The kids cross the finish in a hurry, so the ability to be aggressive and get them moving through the chute is a plus :) We'd really appreciate the help! Email Coach Staab.

CLOVIS INVITATIONAL:
The Clovis Invitational is by invitation only and is held in Fresno on the State Meet Course Saturday October 9th. Ayala will be leaving on Friday October 8th at 8:00am. We are taking a limited team (16 girls/16 boys) and the trip will cost approximately $90. Invitations for this meet will go out Friday morning after the league meet. If there is anything that would prevent you from attending this meet, it is important you let the coaching staff knowpriorto Friday October 1st.

LEAGUE FINALS: Sierra League Finals will be held November 2nd - Tuesday at MSAC. Here is the tentative time schedule:

We need two parents to volunteer to work the finsh line as a judge. There will be an official (Red Coat) at the finish chute to determine any ties.
Class dismissal will be at 12:15pm and the bus will leave at 12:30pm. Please check in with your 5th period class. Wear one of your team shirts for spirit!
There will be a small Awards Ceremony after the meet by the field house.
Season Awards will be voted on (MVP & Most Inspirational) Wednesday and the whole team will run a short run to wind our season down.

CIF POST SEASON
**The CIF Team is made at the sole discretion of the Coaching Staff. It consists of 9 boys and 9 girls who will represent us at CIF Prelims. We base our decision on a variety of factors. The heaviest weight will be placed on the athletes who finish 1-5 at League Finals. We will look at performance at League Finals, performance on the MSAC course the past 2 meets, attendance, reliability and Top 10 Performances throughout the season. We will make our announcements Wednesday at practice when we do our team voting.
PATCHES: Ayala Cross Country will purchase a patch for CIF Finals. If you would like a Prelims patch, please bring money to the meet (usually $15-$20.
